We set up the JHB Broodmare Partnership to target elite-level broodmares with which to breed into the top end of the yearling market. In a short time, the partnership has already produced a sale-topping yearling, with the I Am Invincible x Suspicieuse colt achieving a price of $1,900,000 at Magic Millions in 2022.
It was great to see this backed up again just three years later with the Snitzel x Fashion Faux Pas colt today selling for $1,700,000 to Coolmore Stud.
Fashion Faux Pas was secured for our partners from the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sales for US$310,000, as American mares are a cornerstone of our strategy. There have been numerous top-class horses produced in Australia out of American mares such as Exceed and Excel, Switzerland, Russian Revolution and Wild Ruler, and we feel that they represent great value for our partners.
