Kundalini wins again at Caulfield

After a promising juvenile season, which saw her run placed in the $2m Inglis Millennium, Kundalini has been lightly-raced. With new trainer Grahame Begg, she recently broke through to win her maiden at Sale, and this weekend lined up in a very strong mares 1200m set weights and penalties race, with no fewer than eight stakes winners in opposition.

In the event she was superb under jockey Michael Dee, stalking the speed and coming with a powerful run in the final stages to win impressively. Given the strength of this field she now looks set to once again make her mark at black type level.

Kundalini was a JHB yearling purchase on behalf of John & Deb Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. She is by Champion Sire I Am Invincible and out of 2YO Group 1 winner Ruud Awakening and is a half-sister to the very smart performer Rise of the Masses.
