Duchess has proven to be such a tough and reliable sprinter for our Filly Partnership, and it was a typical display of sheer speed and tenacity that saw her rack up her fifth win yesterday at Canberra in the $80,000 Quality Sprint.
Under a great front-running Tim Clark ride, she blasted out of the barriers and showed blistering speed through the middle stages, before holding off the strong challenge of Delacour in the final stages to just prevail.
Congratulations to all of our Filly Partnership owners, who celebrated two winners this weekend with Duchess and Glistening, and both were also trained beautifully by Michael Freedman.
