Fashion Faux Pas sells for $1.15 million for JHB Broodmare Partnership

Following hot on the heels of the sale of her Snitzel yearling colt for $1,700,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, this week we offered Fashion Faux Pas in the latest Inglis Digital online auction, where she was sold for $1,150,000 to Justin Carey of Coolmore Australia.

Our Broodmare Partnership was set up to operate at the quality end of the market, and provide commercial returns for our partners, so this was an excellent result. Fashion Faux Pas was bought for US$310,000 at the 2020 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, and after today’s result the total sales of her and progeny now total just under A$3,000,000, with a beautiful Extreme Choice filly to offer at the 2026 yearling sales. We have been targeting American mares in particular to provide a great outcross for Australia, and will continue to target this market strongly.

Congratulations to Coolmore, who have bought an outstanding broodmare who has it all ahead of her, and fingers crossed that she can become a blue hen for their operation. They are achieving great success, and their hard work and dedication make it well-deserved.

Congratulations to our owners, Belinda Bateman, Phil & Glenda Mehrten, Rob Love and the Doyle Family on this fantastic result, and many thanks to the Newgate team for their hard work with Fashion Faux Pas and her progeny.
